Weihua made many breakthroughs these years and developed many multifunctional cranes and automatic cranes. We attribute this successful achievement to the following factors.

1. Average R&D expenditure from 2014 to 2016 accounted for 4.5% of sales revenue.

The Academician Yang Shuzi of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Academician Zhang Tiegang of the Chinese Academy of Engineering lead a 600-person R&D team, which has been assessed as an innovative scientific team for the lightweight crane digital design and manufacturing in Henan Province.

2. Weihua obtain 588 patents, of which 66 are invention patents, ranking first in the bridge and gantry crane industry.

There are 20 R&D and innovation platforms at the national and provincial levels, which include the State-Assocated Enterprise Technology Center, the National Lightning Design for Lifting Equipment and the National and Local Joint Engineering Research Center. In 2017, Weihua was awarded the National Manufacturing Pilot Demonstration Project, the National Single Specific Product Champion Demonstration Enterprise, the National Intellectual Property Demonstration Enterprise, the Key Laboratory of Henan Lifting Logistics Equipment, the Henan Provincial Industrial Technology Foundation Public Service Platform, and Henan Provincial service manufacturing demonstration enterprise.

3. Weihua is a national AAAA standard-level good-behavioural enterprise. It has participated in the preparation (revision) of 13 international, national, and industrial standards in the past three years and has presided over one national standard. In 2017, Weihua Group presided over the formulation of 1 national standard, participated in the revision and issued 1 national standard, presided over the formulation of 12 local standards, and presided over the formulation of 3 group standards and the preparation and revision of 32 enterprise standards.

In recent years, we have successively developed and manufactured foundry cranes, clamp cranes, fully automatic cranes (full-automatic garbage cranes, automatic roll replacement cranes, automatic steel pipe distribution cranes), multi-functional cranes (roasting multi-function crane, electrolytic aluminum multi-function cranes, electrolytic copper multi-function cranes, Anode carbon stacking cranes) and other specialty products, and enter the PC production line projects and other innovative areas.
