The so-called BIM is the English abbreviation of "Building Information Model". In the field of construction engineering, the way and method of optimizing design, discovering and solving engineering problems, and reducing costs and increasing efficiency of projects by drawing "building information models" is called BIM technology.
When he first came into contact with BIM technology, Gao Han was still a project estimator, and his main job was to calculate engineering quantities on drawings. Compared with the traditional Excel method of calculating engineering quantities, Gao Han was more willing to explore new methods, so he began to try to use "BIM modeling and measurement software" to calculate engineering quantities.
Through self-study, Gao Han completed the entire project decoration model in just two months. This process not only allowed him to discover his interest, but also allowed him to see the advantages and future of BIM, and becoming a BIM engineer became his career goal.
In order to find a broader career platform, Gao Han relied on his solid basic skills, successful practical cases and innovative qualities to successfully join Weihua and became the first BIM engineer of Weihua Construction Group.
He knows that a better platform has higher requirements. In order to keep up with the development of BIM technology, Gao Han spends almost all his free time learning BIM technology. Not only does he learn it by himself, he also leads two colleagues in the office to form a BIM learning mutual aid group.

In 2011, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development issued the "2011-2015 Construction Industry Informatization Development Outline", which included BIM technology into the information standard construction content for the first time. Since then, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and various localities have continued to increase efforts to promote the implementation of BIM technology. At the end of 2017, the "Ten New Technologies in the Construction Industry 2017" compiled by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development ranked BIM technology first among information technologies and is a model for emerging technologies in the field of construction engineering.
Gao Han, who has devoted himself to the field of BIM, has always been clearly aware of the existing problems, that is, BIM technology should not stop at models. The most important thing is to draw models to find problems in drawings, and use models to optimize designs and verify construction plans. It can truly detect and solve problems early and avoid rework after construction errors, resulting in reduced quality, cost losses and schedule delays, thereby creating value for project production.
To this end, he and his department leaders traveled many times to learn from well-known BIM software R&D companies such as Glodon and Pinming, and obtained BIM technology application cases for outstanding projects from the Henan Construction Industry Association.
Using these resources, Gao Han continuously practiced and mastered many BIM skills such as three-dimensional site layout planning, masonry and wall and floor tile arrangement, construction progress animation, drawing problem inspection, collision detection, electromechanical engineering optimization and construction drawing drawing.
Since joining the company, Gao Han has produced 23 mechanical and electrical engineering construction drawings, 15 masonry layout drawings, 8 pipeline well optimization buildings, 7 quality models, and a three-dimensional field for projects such as Jingrong Middle School, Jingxian Primary School, and Changyuan No. 1 Middle School Library Laboratory Building. 8 sets were laid out on the ground, and more than 2,000 drawing collisions were discovered and resolved using BIM software (revit), which provided guarantee for the project construction quality, cost and progress, and won Party A's high recognition and praise for Weihua Construction's technological innovation.

In addition to using BIM technology in project construction, Gao Han also pays great attention to BIM industry information. He has won multiple awards in industry competitions, including the first prize in the construction category of the 2020 Henan Province "Ingenuity Cup" Engineering Construction BIM Technology Application Competition, filling Weihua Construction Group's honor gap in the field of BIM technology application.
In addition, Gao Han also actively applied BIM technology in the compilation of technical achievements and the application for quality and safety awards, helping the company win 8 national-level QC results, provincial-level construction methods and other technical achievements, and more than ten quality and safety awards such as the Henan Province Construction Engineering Quality Standardization Demonstration Site.

In June 2021, after nearly two years of preparation, Weihua Construction Group's "BIM+ Smart Construction Site Digital Decision-making System" was finally launched. This is an important step for Weihua Construction to further develop BIM technology and achieve digital transformation.
It can integrate on-site business systems and hardware equipment into a unified platform, create an intelligent "field command center" for project managers and management teams, and transmit online operation data to the management of the construction site in real time according to different dimensions such as safety management, quality management, and progress management. While achieving dynamic business collaboration, it also serves the scientific decision-making of multiple participants.
Gao Han serves as the administrator and instructor of the system, and is fully responsible for system-related issues.
