It was a moving ecological scene. This is not a park, but the factory area of Xinxiang Chemical Fiber, a national green factory demonstration enterprise. The water in the pool is "wastewater" discharged after treatment by the enterprise.
"These goldfish and ducks are our best 'supervisors' and our 'publicity ambassadors'!" The person in charge of Xinxiang Chemical Fiber proudly said that it is the company's clean emissions that allow such a scene of fish and ducks playing in the water!
In the public mind, the chemical fiber industry is a large energy consumer and pollutant emitter. However, with the help of equipment updates and process innovation, the image of Xinxiang Chemical Fiber Enterprises has taken on a completely new look.
The company’s original biological waste gas treatment technology enables the treatment rate of the main emissions hydrogen sulfide to reach more than 95% and the carbon disulfide treatment rate to reach more than 85%. It uses the factory floor in the new area to build a photovoltaic power generation project with an average annual power generation of 8.033 million kilowatt hours, saving 987.254 tons of standard coal every year and reducing dioxide. The chemical carbon emissions are more than 4,500 tons; the industry's first acidic wastewater recycling technology can realize the daily recycling of more than 8,500 tons of water, reducing sewage emissions by 5.47 million tons per year, while reducing fresh water extraction by 4.19 million tons. This technology will be identified as an "Excellent Solution for Henan Province's Industrial Green and Low-Carbon Transformation" in 2022.
In recent years, my country has promoted the development of high-end, intelligent, and green manufacturing industries. The practice of Xinxiang enterprises has proved that the key to achieving green development lies in innovation.
In the workshop of Weihua Group, Yang Yangang, deputy squad leader of the sixth painting shift, came to the fully automatic intelligent painting workshop early. After pressing the start switch, the overall air supply, exhaust device and exhaust gas treatment facilities of the painting line were started in conjunction, and the painting of a batch of new Chinese-style crane girder boxes began.
The coating line has achieved a waste paint mist capture rate of more than 95% and an exhaust gas treatment efficiency of more than 98%. Weihua Group is also the first domestic enterprise to implement intelligent rust removal and painting operations on large equipment indoors.

The "New Chinese Crane" independently developed and designed by Weihua Group has performance indicators higher than or on par with international standards. Compared with traditional cranes, the "New Chinese Crane""Chinese-style crane" has achieved a 25% reduction in dead weight, a 30% reduction in height, and a 20% reduction in comprehensive energy consumption, but the overall price is far lower than the international level. At the same time, the new product can also effectively reduce the height and cost of the factory, greatly improving the competitiveness of Chinese lifting products in the international market.
Some companies focus on "energy conservation", while others find new ways to turn waste into treasure.
The Mengdian Group, located in Huixian City, produces more than 1 million tons of carbon dioxide from power generation every year. But now, the "waste gas" in the past has been turned into nutrients and has become a "nutrition" in the vegetable greenhouses.
"Although our vegetable factory only covers an area of 50 acres, its annual carbon sequestration capacity is 1,400 tons. Coupled with comprehensive carbon savings, the annual carbon sequestration capacity can reach 20,000 tons, which is equivalent to the annual carbon sequestration capacity of 30,000 acres of forest!" said Wang Xiaoqing, chairman of Shuimu Jiutian Technology Co., Ltd.
Meng Electric Group cooperated with the company to build a "carbon-neutral vegetable factory". Through a complete set of intelligent systems, various types of past emissions are efficiently utilized to achieve precise control of environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and light in the factory, which greatly reduces waste gas emissions. Since tomatoes can adapt to high concentrations of carbon dioxide, the effective tomato yield in the vegetable factory is more than 30 to 50 times that of field production!

The exploration and practice of enterprises cannot be separated from Xinxiang City’s all-round policy and technical support for the green transformation of enterprises. In recent years, Xinxiang City has deeply promoted the creation of a green manufacturing system. In 2022 and 2023, 18 and 15 enterprises (parks) on the green manufacturing list will be cultivated and established respectively, ranking second in the province in terms of number of cultivated enterprises. Up to now, the city has established a total of 4 green parks and 45 green factories, ranking second in the province in number.
