This is an ordinary rural courtyard located in Hanliao Village, Weizhuang Street, Changyuan City, Henan Province. It has red brick walls, asbestos tile roofs, wooden doors and windows, and rammed earth floors. It was built in the late 1980s, 33 years ago. This is the birthplace of Weihua, the "Jinggangshan" of Weihua Group, and its history begins with the story of spring.
In 1978, a great discussion about the standard of truth swept China. At the end of the year, the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Party was held; in 1988, the legal status of the private economy was written into the Constitution for the first time. The spring breeze of reform and opening up swept across the country like a wave, awakening some people with a keen sense of smell. For Han Xianbao, a group of early entrepreneurs, it was like a shot in the arm. The idea of starting a business changed from hesitation to firmness, from determination to action, and the dream gradually became reality.
On June 6, 1988, a sign with the words "Xinxiang Weihua Crane Factory" was hung in front of the gate of this three-acre yard. Weihua came into being.
Establishing a business with integrity and sprouting (June 1988-November 2000)
On February 1, 1995, Han Xianbao officially joined the party. Han Xianbao, who is a man of integrity and does his duty, started from the maintenance and production of hand chain hoists to the production and sales of electric hoists and reducers. Weihua has been developing and growing in a "snowball" style. The company is crowded and the supply of products exceeds the demand. In 1996, more than 6 million yuan was invested to build a new "garden-style factory". By introducing talents, establishing a corporate governance system, and establishing "eight departments and one office", the company gradually embarked on the road of standardized management; it designed and registered its own trademark, and had its own brand; it launched a crane project and built single-girder and double-girder crane production lines, with 6 major series and more than 50 varieties of products.
At that time, Han Xianbao put forward the entrepreneurial philosophy of "the first time we interact with each other, we will be friends forever" and the goal of "creating Weihua international brand and revitalizing Chinese national industry"The development concept and the business philosophy of "success is built on integrity, and hard work will eventually pay off" have become the prototype of Weihua's corporate culture.
Working with the Party and Building Dreams (December 2000-November 2012)
On December 8, 2000, the Changyuan County Committee of the Communist Party of China officially approved the establishment of the Weihua Branch Committee of the Communist Party of China.
In 2004, Han Xianbao, Zhong Lisheng, former deputy director of the Henan Provincial People's Congress, and Xu Shanji, vice chairman and secretary-general of the China Heavy Machinery Industry Association, jointly unveiled the "Weihua Group".
With the party organization, Weihua's development has entered rapid growth. Weihua has built three new factories in Changyuan and Zhengzhou respectively. The scale of the enterprise has expanded rapidly, and production and sales have doubled. Sales revenue has increased from 37 million yuan in 2000 to 730 million yuan in 2005. The production and sales of general bridge and gantry cranes rank first in the country. In 2004, Weihua Group Co., Ltd. was officially established and introduced a group of senior professional managers such as Yu Youfei and various high-end talents to realize group management. Weihua should not only be the Weihua of Changyuan and Henan, but also the Weihua of the world. "Weihua lifts and makes the world easier" has become the corporate vision.
As the company continues to grow, Weihua Party members have grown from the initial 12 to 98. In 2006, with the approval of the Changyuan County Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Weihua Party branch was officially upgraded to the group party committee. The promoting role of party organizations in Weihua has been further brought into play.
WeiThe Hua Party Committee has established a system of "two-way entry and cross-appointment" between party and enterprise. Party committee secretaries and party committee members are all middle- and senior-level managers. The Weihua Party Committee has successively implemented strategies, goals, standardization, performance, lean and other management, and won the AAA-level "Standardization Good Behavior Certificate"; the company has won honors such as "China Famous Brand Products", "China Famous Trademarks", "Henan Province Governor Quality Award"; guided technological innovation, and scientific research projects were selected The National Torch Plan was approved to establish a "Nationally Recognized Enterprise Technology Center" and completed the development of large-tonnage products such as 600-ton bridge cranes and 900-ton beam transfer machines; Weihua entered the first phalanx of my country's lifting industry and entered the "Top 100 Chinese Machinery Industry", achieving leapfrog development.
The Weihua Party Committee has always adhered to the people-oriented principle, established the "Weihua Group Relief Fund", opened weekend buses to Zhengzhou, Kaifeng and Xinxiang, implemented free meals for all employees, and built a basketball court, badminton court, table tennis room and reading room, proposing to build a "Happy Weihua". In 2011, the Weihua Century City project built for employees broke ground. Weihua was awarded the "National Model Workers' Home" by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions; it was awarded the honorary title of "Henan Province May Day Labor Certificate" by the Henan Provincial Federation of Trade Unions.
Weihua Party Committee actively builds a talent training platform. Appointed Yang Shuzi, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, as a senior consultant, and established a "postdoctoral research workstation" and an academician workstation. It also jointly established a training base with Zhengzhou University; in 2008, Weihua cashed in option rewards to 49 employees and issued cars to 23 employees. The implementation of a series of employee care policies has established a good employment and retention mechanism for Weihua.
During this period, the Weihua Party Committee has successively won the titles of “Henan Province’s ‘Five Good’ Grassroots Party Organizations” and “Henan Province’s Leading Grassroots Party Organizations.” The then Party Secretary Han Xianbao won the "National May Day Labor Medal," and the All-China Federation of Trade Unions awarded the Henan Weihua Machinery Assembly Class the "National Workers' Pioneer Award."
In June 2012, the National Commendation Conference for Being the First and Striving for Excellence was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China awarded the Weihua Party Committee the title of "National Grassroots Party Organization for Being the First and Striving for Excellence".
Improve quality and development without forgetting the original intention (January 2013 to June 2020)
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Party Central Committee has attached great importance to party building work in non-public enterprises. The Weihua Party Committee has continuously strengthened its own construction and opened a new chapter in leading the high-quality development of enterprises with high-quality party building.
On May 18, 2013, Liu Yunshan, then member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Secretariat, fully affirmed Weihua’s approach to building a service-oriented party organization during an investigation in Henan. Weihua Party Committee was identified by the Organization Department of the Central Committee as one of the ten non-public enterprise party organizations recommended nationwide. On March 31, 2016, Zhao Leji, then member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, met with Yu Youfei and other representatives of Xinxiang’s advanced grassroots party organizations during a survey in Xinxiang, and spoke highly of Weihua’s party building work.
In 2012, Han Hongan took up the position of chairman of Weihua Group and became the new helmsman of Weihua. Led Weihua into a new stage of transformation, upgrading and development. In accordance with the national strategy, Weihua assessed the situation and formulated the overall strategies for the "12th Five-Year Plan" and the "13th Five-Year Plan". On the premise that the main crane business will not be relaxed, Weihua will adopt a moderately diversified and international development strategy and establish bulk material conveying equipment, parking equipment, special robots and general engineering contracting businesses to form a new economic growth point for Weihua. Entering the international market, products are exported to more than 130 countries and regions including the United States, Britain, France, and Russia. On March 29, 2019, the Weihua Crane Intelligent Industrial Park project laid the foundation, with a total planned area of 512,000 square meters and a planned total investment of 3 billion yuan, kicking off the transformation and development of Weihua!
The Weihua Party Committee assessed the situation and successively established Weihua College, Weihua Party School, and Weihua Vocational Training School. At present, the three schools have trained more than 100,000 people, which has greatly improved the overall quality of employees. Under the training of the Weihua Party Committee, Yu Youfei was awarded the "Henan Province Outstanding Party Worker", selected into the first batch of experts in the "Central Plains Thousand Talents Plan", and was rated as an expert with special allowances from the State Council; Wu Qingfu was awarded the "National Model Worker","Hundred Craftsmen in the Industry", Wang Xuedong was awarded the title of "Big Craftsman in China's Heavy Machinery Industry", and Li Jingyu and Yang Honglei were awarded the title of "Artisans in China's Heavy Machinery Industry".

On July 1, 2020, at the Congress of the Communist Party of China Weihua Group Co., Ltd., a new Weihua Party Committee leadership team was elected, and Yu Youfei was appointed as Party Committee Secretary. The members of the new party committee took over the red banner and lived up to the great trust, drawing and continuing Weihua's new development blueprint.
Give full play to the leading role of party building and serve the development of enterprises. At the end of 2020, Weihua released the "14th Five-Year Strategic Plan", which pointed out the direction for the group's transformation and development.
In April 2021, Weihua officially launched the new factory relocation plan. The group's orders are pouring in, and the company's production capacity has been accelerated. It has realized the transformation from Weihua manufacturing to Weihua creation, from Weihua speed to Weihua quality, and from Weihua products to Weihua brand. The company has achieved high-quality accelerated development.The construction of 6 intelligent painting production lines has greatly improved the working environment and increased production efficiency.
Give full play to the role of intellectual support and serve talent development. The Weihua Party Committee adheres to the principle of "the party manages talents", highlights the introduction of high-end talents, and attracts and condenses talents. Weihua has assembled an elite scientific research team of more than 1,000 people, led by three academicians: Yang Shuzi, Zhang Tiegang, and Li Peigen, including 29 professor-level senior engineers, 16 postdoctoral fellows, 6 foreign experts, more than 200 doctors and masters, and more than 500 engineers. Model workers at all levels continue to emerge. On November 24, 2020, Weihua employee Xia Weixin was awarded the honorary title of "National Model Worker". He is the second national model worker trained by Weihua after Wu Qingfu. Sun Bin won the "Henan Province May 1st Labor Medal", Li Shuxue was elected as the "Xinxiang City Model Worker", and the Technology Department of Liaoning Huayuan Company won the "National Worker Pioneer".

Since 2020, the Weihua Party Committee has inherited more than 30 years of cultural accumulation and advocated the Weihua gentleman culture with "integrity, innovation, struggle, self-discipline, and responsibility" as the core. Through the conduct of the gentleman culture forum, the establishment of the Weihua gentleman award, the conduct of gentleman character reports and book club activities, the design of the gentleman culture VI system, the preparation of the gentleman Weihua books, etc., the gentleman culture has been immersed in people's hearts and gradually transformed into employee codes of conduct and norms. In November 2020, Weihua won the honorary title of "National Civilized Unit", and in December, it won the "Henan Province Non-Public Enterprise Party Building Demonstration Site". In May 2021, the Weihua Party Committee successfully passed the non-public ownership star party organization assessment in Changyuan City and was rated as a "three-star" party organization. From "three acres of land" to Weihua Intelligent Industrial Park, the company's party members have grown from 12 to 495, and the company's revenue has increased from 33 million yuan to 14.877 billion yuan. The 21 years since the establishment of the Weihua Party Organization have been 21 years in which Weihua has promoted high-quality economic development with high-quality party building.
