On December 28, 2017, trial production of No. 2 steel bar and high-speed wire rods of the Alliance Steel (M) SDN BHD rolling mill was officially launched. The company is located in Mazhong Kuantan Industrial Park, Malaysia, with an annual output of 3.5 million tons of steel.
The Alliance Steel (M) SDN BHD will become the largest steel mill in Malaysia and the first steel mill to produce H-beam steel after it is put into operation, creating 4,000 jobs for the local people.

Weihua has contracted more than 400 sets of overhead cranes for this project. The total contract amount is about RMB 140 million, which almost includes all of the lifting equipment for steel bar production.
