Every morning from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the finished product warehouse of Weihua Group in Changyuan, Henan Province enters the busiest time of the day, with vehicles carrying various lifting equipment queuing up, waiting to depart. "There are frequent traffic jams, and the scene is spectacular. Every year, tens of thousands of vehicles go from here to all over the world." said Ding Haiyang, vice president of Weihua Group.
Walking into the intelligent light workshop not far away, there is a sharp contrast between the two production lines on the left and right: the manual production line is rumbling and welding spatter; the intelligent production line opposite has completely realized unmanned operation, industrial robots are waving their mechanical arms, and the flow operations are orderly.
Changyuan City, Henan Province, where Weihua Group is located, has a profound lifting "gene". Changyuan's lifting industry started in the early 1980s. Today, 3.2 sets of lifting supporting products are produced every minute, and 38 complete cranes are rolled off the production line in Changyuan every hour. The city's 114 complete machine companies have driven the chain development of 1,042 upstream and downstream small and medium-sized enterprises, and the domestic market share of the products has reached 70%.
In 2024, Changyuan was awarded the title of "Capital of Hoisting Machinery" by the China Heavy Machinery Industry Association, becoming the distribution center for major lifting equipment in the country and a "barometer" of the industry.
