Henan has a complete industrial system and abundant human resources. It is a traditional province of materials, equipment, food, and light textile industries. Under the pressure of regional competition of “the pacesetters are getting further away and the pursuers are getting closer”, Henan has anchored its goal of becoming a strong manufacturing province, planning for new industrialization, building a modern industrial system, and promoting high-quality development of manufacturing.
——Using the whole province’s efforts to deeply shape the “7+28+N” modern industrial system. Since 2021, Henan has taken the strengthening of the "7+28+N" group chain as the overall focus, building 7 advanced manufacturing clusters such as new energy vehicles, strengthening 28 key industrial chains such as superhard materials, and extending downward to N specialized new subdivisions to deeply shape a modern industrial system.
In October 2023, Henan held a high-profile conference to promote the province's new industrialization and key industry chain cultivation, further emphasizing "classified and hierarchical cultivation" and implementing special projects in key subdivisions by chain. Li Jiantao, Director of the Henan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, introduced that Henan has formulated an overall plan for cultivating key industrial chains and 28 sub-chain plans with high standards, and innovatively launched a "chain length + special class" "map"+ list", "chain owner + alliance" and "government + market" working mechanism.

At present, Henan has 17 new energy vehicle manufacturers and 22 well-known Internet of Things backbone companies, forming an advanced manufacturing cluster from raw materials to core components, to complete vehicles, supporting equipment, and the Internet of Things. In 2025, Henan's annual output of new energy vehicles is expected to exceed 2 million units, ranking among the top three in the country, and the industry scale reaching the trillion-level level.
Li Jiantao introduced that the "7+28+N" group chain has brought together more than 70% of Henan's key innovation platforms, created more than 80% of the total import and export volume, and more than 60% of the industrial output value above designated size, and has become the main battlefield for Henan to promote high-quality development of manufacturing and new industrialization.

Corrosion-resistant light alloy materials and corrosion protective coatings in marine environments, high-strength aluminum alloys used in battery pack casings for new energy vehicles, magnesium alloy materials used in automobile wheels and aviation seat frames... In the Henan Province Light Metal Materials Pilot Base, a series of new technologies and new products have been verified in pilot tests and successfully achieved industrialization.
The pilot base is operated by Luoyang Special Materials Research Institute. Under the leadership of the scientific research team Dong Shuai of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the pilot base has provided more than 300 pilot services to more than 120 pilot service companies. Go "green" to brighten the background of the manufacturing industry
Green development is the foundation for high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.

After technical research, the company has reduced the energy-consuming diamond purification electrolysis cycle from 14 days to 7 days, making it more energy-saving and environmentally friendly.

Walking into the smart factory of Zhengzhou Coal Machinery Group covering an area of more than 70,000 square meters, the production scene is like a "science fiction movie." "We use big data and blockchain technology to integrate digital transformation into the entire production process.
