The 200-ton heavy-duty outdoor
gantry crane is a high-performance material handling solution designed specifically for large open-air work sites. The 200-ton heavy-duty
gantry crane comes standard with a main and auxiliary double hook system (200-ton main hook, 32/50-ton auxiliary hooks), coupled with a full AC variable frequency stepless speed control drive, ensuring smooth and precise lifting and running, significantly improving the efficiency of heavy equipment installation, large component loading and unloading, and steel logistics transfer. For complex outdoor environments, the machine has been comprehensively reinforced: the main structure adopts a heavy-duty anti-corrosion coating process and integrates multiple active windproof safety systems, including wind-resistant and anti-slip brakes and rigid anchoring devices, ensuring safety and reliability in harsh weather conditions. It is an ideal heavy-duty lifting equipment for large and medium-sized ports, heavy equipment manufacturing, energy construction, and logistics hubs.
There are two main structural types of 200-ton
gantry cranes, and the choice depends on your site, budget, and usage requirements:
Advantages: High structural rigidity, good stability, mature manufacturing process, and clean appearance. Suitable for large spans, heavy loads, and frequent use.
Disadvantages: Higher self-weight, higher requirements for foundations and rails, and relatively higher cost.
Suitable for: Box Girder
gantry crane for Steel mills, logistics parks, heavy machinery manufacturing, and other sites with frequent fixed operations.
Advantages: Lighter self-weight, lower wind resistance, less material usage, and generally lower cost than box type
gantry cranes.
Disadvantages: More complex appearance and structure, more maintenance points (such as bolt inspection), and more sensitive to corrosion.
Suitable for: Coastal/open sites where self-weight and cost are sensitive, usage frequency is not extremely high, or there are significant wind resistance requirements.
Weihua Crane Group's official recommendation: For 200-ton heavy-duty applications, the Box Type
gantry crane is usually the more mainstream and reliable choice due to its higher rigidity and stability.
